Fighting Hunger in Fort Collins with Otter-Pop-A-Looza

Otter-Pop-A-LoozaReady…Set…Go! To benefit the Food Bank for Larimer County and participate in their annual Corporate Food Fight, OtterBox organized a little friendly competition among employees at the first ever Otter-Pop-A-Looza.

The challenge was to eat the most frozen Otter Pops in two minutes. More than 70 OtterBox employees joined the Otter Pop competitors on the patio at the office in Fort Collins, Colo. and witnessed a four-way tie for the title of Otter-Pop-A-Looza champ.

Recipes: Dutch Oven Fruit Cobbler and Fish Cooked with Curried Couscous

Fish in foil, camp cookingNothing beats food cooked in the great outdoors. Even really basic food tastes amazing when cooked alfresco. Half the fun of camp cooking is the method – camp stove, charcoal, wood fire, Dutch Oven, foil, tin can, you name it – and everyone has a favorite.

Partial to Dutch Oven cooking, I dug up this great recipe for dessert: Dutch Oven Fruit Cobbler. This is from the cookbook “American West Dutch Oven Cooking” that my husband picked up for me on our drive of the Alaska-Canadian Highway.

  • 14 inch Dutch oven
  • 18 to 20 top coals
