Rumors say that HTC is welcoming a new member to their family of smartphones and the new phone is coming soon. HTC announced a major event for February 19 (this coming Tuesday) happening in both New York City and London.

We can only speculate what will be revealed next Tuesday, but rumors across the web are whispering about a new smartphone codenamed the HTC M7, and may later be known as the HTC One, with a potential release as early as March 8.

This mystery phone has a lot of people talking about the specs and its competition and it’s slated to be one of the top devices available in the first half of 2013.  With an upgraded camera, Sense 5 UI and multiple carriers it’s no wonder this is a highly anticipated phone.

Let’s take a look at rumored specs (since we know that’s what you’re here for):

Camera: HTC is known for impressive lens action and with its HTC One X camera rivaling all other competitors in 2012 we’re expecting nothing less in 2013. Rumors are going around that the HTC M7 could be equipped with a 4.3 Ultrapixel camera. If you don’t know Ultra pixels, we’re talking three 4.3MP sensors working together. That’s a lot of camera action going on and we can’t wait to see if these rumors are true.

Sense 5: New look, new widgets, new experience. An updated version of HTC Sense 5 is rumored to have a new lock screen with new widgets for weather and contacts with a look similar to the Microsoft Windows Phone 8 design.

Stereo: earlier this year HTC teased a new sound and camera experience for 2013 and the new HTC M7 suggests a stereo speakerphone. This could turn your glasses back into drinking glasses and take your mobile music to another level.

Teaser: HTC recently released this teaser video.
