Window Phone Apps

Most of the time we see a list of the best apps on any platforms it’s all the same the official Facebook , twitter App the client for Netflix etc. The big name apps that you would probably look up yourself and the kind of apps that are almost likely the top apps in the respective marketplace. While this sort of list is great for game there could be some really clever 3rd party apps that could prove to be quite useful. Today we take a look at a few of them for Windows Phone, the fairly new Mobile OS from Microsoft. So if you are a seasoned Windows Phone user or are new to the platform , take a look at this not so famous Windows Phone Apps list and let us know what you think.

1) SurfCube 3D Browser- Download
A 3D Browser does not sound like much but once you get used to the browsing UI the app should be your favorite browser on your phone. The browser comes with Full HTML5 compatibility , an easy way to share your favorite articles on social media. Hate it when you are in bed and try to browse the web, the constant switching between landscape and portrait orientation might be familiar to windows phone users since there is no OS level orientation lock but SurfCube 3D Browser has a built in option that allows you to do just that. The app also offers an Incognito mode for when you way to play James Bond.

2) Flashlight XT – Download
A simple no nonsense Flashlight app for Windows Phone. It’s one of those things that I think all phone OS should bake in to their OS. I think it will be more useful than the calculator app but sadly you still need a 3rd party app to use your phone as a flashlight. On windows phone Flashlight XT is one of the best way to get flashlight on your phone.

3) Hello Friends – Download
Windows Phone has always been about putting the people you care about first but it took a 3rd party app called Hello Friends to put it in a more literal sense. The app takes your contact pics and creates a custom wallpaper for you that you can use on your lock screen. So anyone else get the feeling this should have been something Microsoft should have included in the OS ? But hey as long as there is a free app for it , I wouldn’t make too much fuss about it ;). 7) Translator – Download
Well this is kind of a famous app but any windows phone app list round up should include this because the app is that awesome. This is another one of those things that I hope Microsoft will bake in to the OS. The official Bing Translator app that lets you use your camera to translate printed text, voice recognition to translate spoken text, or the keyboard to enter text that you want to translate. Yup .. that good.
