Ring in the New Year with Good Luck Foods
The husband and I like to make good luck food dishes on New Year’s day. This year we’re making our favorite red beans and rice recipe http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/red-beans-and-rice-recipe/index.html (we skip the pickled pork and just use ham hocks). The husband’s making his homemade Andouille sausage to include and has decided that adding our turkey leftovers from Christmas to the pot will make it extra good.
After perusing through these lists of good luck foods, I think I’ll bake a cake with the kids to add to our New Year’s day menu.
However you like to celebrate, I wish you a prosperous New Year filled with family, fun and fabulous food!
