Summer Inspired Bucket List
Bucket lists serve as the perfect journal of goals, achievements, dreams and adventures you want to experience before you “kick the bucket.” Take note of some things you see that you really enjoy or that you’ve always wanted to try this summer and turn those ideas into a bucket list!
Don’t have a bucket list yet? No worries, it’s easy to start!
To help you start brainstorming, check out some of my summer-inspired bucket list experiences I want to accomplish:
My mom thinks I’m crazy but you never know until you try, right? I’ve always wanted to go skydiving but have continuously put it off. I want to feel the rush, adrenaline and see the spectacular views while free falling hundreds of feet. This may not be the easiest activity to trust so make sure to use good references and follow up with online reviews.
Climb my Second Fourteener
Although this will be my second fourteener, my first big climb was over five years ago. It was hard then and it will be hard now. Although it will take time, patience and dedication I’m ready to feel that gratifying moment once I reach the summit. For me, summer in Colorado will be the only time I will want to hike a 14,000 foot mountain. It’s a challenge and I can’t wait to brag about it while crossing it off my list!
Stand-up Paddle Boarding
With growing popularity stand-up paddle boarding may be my newest bucket list item. While soaking up some sun and enjoying the outdoors, it looks like a great summer workout. Stand-up paddle boarding works your whole body and is a great cross-training activity for balance and control. Lucky for me, you don’t need an ocean to paddleboard, you can paddle in lakes, rivers, reservoirs, etc. – no waves required.
Atlantis Resort, Bahamas
Ever since high school graduation I’ve been dreaming to ride down the five-story corkscrew Serpent Slide through a tunnel submerged in a shark-filled lagoon. The Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas also has 11 swimming pools, 11 water areas, two lazy river rides and more thrill-seeking slides like the Leap of Faith, The Abyss or The Surge! And let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to go the Bahamas? You can also check out their resorts in Dubai and China – coming soon!
Travel back to Europe
Some bucket list items may not give you instant gratification; it may be planning for the future. One of my on-going bucket list bullets is saving money to travel back to Europe. I want to journey back to where I studied abroad in Schwenningen, Germany and revisit the university, my old hangouts, my favorite bars and restaurants.
Some things I’ve already checked off my bucket list include visiting the Great Wall of China, riding in a hot-air balloon, visiting Machu Picchu, Peru and swimming with dolphins.
Make sure to check out the OtterBox Preserver Series so you can go everywhere your bucket list requires while taking gorgeous pictures with your phone!
