Track down Santa Claus this Christmas
Every year on December 24, Santa Claus sets off on his journey to spread joy and goodwill to the children of the world by distributing toys to those on his “nice list.” Your kids obviously want to be a part of this lucky group of children but they should also be in the know regarding his location and how to get in touch with him right? Take a look at these apps and give your kids the chance to stay in touch with jolly old Saint Nick and track his every movement on Christmas Eve.
NORAD Santa Tracker
A tradition was born in1955 after a Colorado Springs-based Sears Roebuck & Co. advertisement misprinted the telephone number for children to call Santa. Instead of reaching Santa, the phone number put kids through to the CONAD Commander-in-Chief’s operations “hotline.” The Director of Operations at the time, Colonel Harry Shoup, had his staff check the radar for indications of Santa making his way south from the North Pole. Children who called were given updates on his location, and a tradition was born.
The “NORAD Tracks Santa” website is now live featuring a holiday countdown, games and daily activities, video messages from children around the world and more. (Website, iOS, Android)
