What’s next… Mobile World Congress 2013
OtterBox is joining the movers and shakers of the Mobile Industry next week at the annual Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Spain. The show runs from the 25th to the 28th of February and is expected to be the biggest yet! Exhibitors will be playing to a much bigger audience this year in a brand new venue, Fira Gran Via. Here’s what to expect from the show and a sneak peek to what’s next from OtterBox in Europe, the Middle East and Africa…
The Korean firm has indicated an exciting “breakthrough will be made at MWC 2013” by posting a somewhat cryptic video on YouTube at the start of February http://goo.gl/DAn2K. We believe this “breakthrough” will most likely be a model of devices that fit under the Optimus G line. Speaking of which, news broke yesterday that its 2012 flagship will be available in Europe by next week, starting with Sweden. Every European version will ship with the highly anticipated Jelly Bean update. Full insights on these latest features were posted in an LG YouTube video only yesterday .
The latest from the Samsung rumors for MWC 2013 is that there will be a new tablet release which could fit in with the Note line. Further rumors suggest that Samsung may be planning a new range to fall under the Galaxy Tab 3 banner as well. We will certainly be watching Samsung in Barcelona for these new tablet affirmations and further revelations on the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy SIV.
With the release of the HTC One, formerly known as the HTC M7, this week in London and New York, we are not expecting any major surprises from HTC in Barcelona. However, we will be sure to visit their Booth at the show to test out the HTC One with its 4.7-inch HD display, powerful quad core 1.7GHz processor and 8MP camera. An exciting release to be reckoned with!
The internet rumours surrounding Sony for Mobile World Congress have suggested that there may be a big reveal of a revolutionary 6 to 7 inch smartphone. We’re not so sure about this one because of the introduction of the Xperia Z last month and we’re predicting that Sony’s exhibition will most likely focus on this new product. We will definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for more from Sony at the show!
At this year’s show we will be unveiling our ground breaking innovations and exciting new developments in ultimate device protection. The Armor Series will be the focal point of the OtterBox exhibition with two other exciting new products on show as well!
