You can trust the internet…Meet the HTC ONE
Well, we’ve learned we CAN trust the Internet, at least when it comes to rumors about new devices. Early Tuesday, HTC unveiled what looks to be a new top smartphone contender — the HTC One.
What new and innovative characteristics does this HTC One bring to the table? Let’s take a look at the specs.
The slick HTC One is housed in an aluminum unibody and the 4.7 inch screen is made of Gorilla Glass. Inside the phone you’ll find something only a few smartphones have — Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 600.
HTC is also launching Blinkfeed, a constant feed of whatever you choose, be it friends’ social network feeds, your calendar or your favorite sports team standings. This feature promises to keep you up-to-date in the amount of time it takes to blink.
In our rumors post we mentioned the camera and we had high hopes all the rumors would be true. Turns out we heard right. The HTC One UltraPixel camera comes with impressive tools including the ability to capture up to 20 photos and a 3-second video with a press of the shutter button and it boasts of the ability to capture 300% more light.
“What did he say?” – said no HTC One owner ever … HTC One’s BoomSound introduces a brand new smartphone sound experience. Dual frontal speakers powered by built-in amplifiers will turn up the volume on your next on the go movie.
With Sense TV and Sense Voice the HTC One lives up to being a SMARTphone. Sense TV allows your phone to become your TV’s remote control with the ability to select TV channels, adjust volume or access program guides, your HTC One will truly clean up your life as well as your living room clutter. Sense Voice boosts call clarity in any environment by detecting loud ambient noise and boosting in-call sound to compensate.
According to HTC the new “one” will be available at AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. Look for it to hit shelves globally this March.
HTC is hoping for the “one” to jump off the shelves but in case it doesn’t they’ve created an insurance plan with a trade-in program for people who pre-register, you’ll receive $100 toward your HTC One if you trade in your current phone. OtterBox is offering a strong case selection, check out the Defender Series and the Commuter Series.
